Board
Ed Law 316 establishes a Policy Board that governs each teacher
center. The Erie 1 Teacher Center has representatives from the teachers' unions,
a parent representative, a representative from higher education and a business
rep. We also include a representative from a board of education of one of the participating districts. By law, the majority of the members must be teachers.
Our policy board meets on a regular monthly basis to guide the
operations of the center including program selection, maintaining the budget,
overseeing the hiring and evaluation of the staff and other issues pertinent to
the operation of the center. The meetings are held on a rotating basis between the three member districts.
