The Western New York Teacher Center is a collaborative of educators from Erie 1 BOCES, Clarence, Lancaster and Depew schools, higher education institutions and local businesses. Our center provides professional development courses and resources to advance innovative, high quality instruction, as well as to support districts' visions and respond to the needs of teachers and the educational community.
INSPIRING BEGINNINGS: SUMMER CONFERENCE
Join us for the FREE WNY Teacher Center Summer Conference, Inspiring Beginnings, at Buffalo State College on August 13, 2018 and earn up to 5 Continuing Teacher/Leader Education (CTLE) credit hours.
What: Nationally acclaimed speaker John Perricone, author of Zen and the Art of Public School Teaching, will deliver and insightful, humor-filled, and inspiring Keynote address, challenging teachers to develop their own personal philosophy of teaching.
What else: Breakout sessions, bulding on the theme of inspiring education, will follow on topics such as Social-Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, Bringing Humor and Fun into the Classroom, Character Education, Yoga in the Classroom, and more.
Who is invited: All teachers, counselors, social workers, therapists, and school leaders.
