    Our school wide rules:

    1.  Be kind

    2.  Be safe

    3.  Be responsible

Each child has a "car" hanging on our front blackboard near our green, yellow, and red traffic signal.  Their car starts on green each morning.  If a child breaks a rule they are asked to move their car to yellow and it is marked on the daily behavior sheet brought home each evening.  They are now encouraged to make good choices, so they can drive their car back to green.  At "Earned Activity Time" we look to see if the child's car is on green.  A green earns them "activity time".  If their car is on yellow or red, they sit alone at their table or desk during this time.

    Individual incentive charts

Each student has their own individual chart hanging in the classroom.  Throughout the day teachers and therapists "caught" the students making good choices and draw a star on their chart.  When a student gets to the end of a row he/she goes "shopping".  These charts remind teachers and therapists to attend to those students doing the right thing.  Shopping motivates students and encourages them to follow the rules. At the end of the month the students bring home their charts and we begin a new one.
