Building Trades
2-Year ProgramThis program offers instruction in carpentry and associated trade areas. The students will participate in construction modules of introduction to carpentry, foundation and floor framing, wall framing, ceiling and roof framing, interior/exterior finish, cabinet making and remodeling with an introduction to masonry, plumbing and electrical systems. Exposure to basic theory, work skills, tools and equipment, materials and career opportunities in these various fields is provided. Practical experience through a variety of in-shop projects plus internship opportunities with regional contractors and businesses are provided to all students.
