The School Social Worker's Resource Page is an open webpage intended to be helpful to students, parents, teachers, school personnel and professionals.The school social workers are not responsible for the content on these pages but are hopeful some of the information will be useful.Scroll down topics listed on your left. Open any page to find information on the subject as well as links to pertinent webpages with more resources, information and support.In an emergency, call Crisis Services Hotline: 834-3131.Crisis Services is an excellent resource if you not sure if there is a crisis or if you need guidance, advice, suggestions, direction or other support in any urgent, on-going or unfolding situation. Talking with a phone counselor can help the caller clarify many different kinds of issues. You do not need to provide your name or address. Trained phone counselors are available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Kids Helpline 834-1144 is also available for teenagers and children.If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, call the New York State Hotline 1-800-342-3720 to report the incident. You may also call to ask if the incident is one that should be reported. Frequently asked questions are answered on the website.If a child or adult is in imminent physical danger, call 911 immediately.
