Disabilities: History and ResourcesThe Museum of Disability History 629-3626 is located at 3826 Main Street, Buffalo. Newly reopened on October 15, 2010, this museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation and display of artifacts pertaining to the history of people with disabilities. Tours can be arranged. The museum is a project of People, Inc.A teacher resource page is among the many resources available through this museum.The Miracle League of Grand Island and Western New York offers a specially designed baseball field on Grand Island where special needs children can play baseball safely on a seamless rubberized playing field that has level and flat inlaid bases.General resources include the DRM Regional Resources Directory and Putting People First. Western New York offers The Developmental Disabilities Alliance.
