• ABOUT ME

I have been employed with Erie 1 BOCES since 1986.  I have had much experience working with students with disabilities such as autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, apraxia and various other disorders.  I am familiar with augmentative devices (ex.-Dynavox) and sign language, which I've used with nonverbal students to help them communicate.  I feel it's very important to look at the whole child and their overall communication needs.  I try to encorporate all spectrums of speech and language (ex.-articulation, language, pragmatic skills) into lessons so your child gets the most benefit out of speech therapy.  I feel it's very important for parents and/or guardians to be involved in the therapy process in order for their child to make the most progress possible.  I am very excited and look forward to working with you and your child to help him/her become the best communicator that he/she can be.
