CAD-1: prepares students to be qualified as an entry-level mechanical draftsperson. Students will learn many techniques, skills and the comprehensive knowledge of drafting design needed to prepare technical drawings. You will gain hands-on experience with today's industry standard software: AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks and 3D studio max. Parts will be designed in a virtual 3D environment to exact specifications and then fabricated as a prototype using the Dimension 3D printer. Students will work on creative projects throughout the year to help them develop their skills.
