Classes are in session from 12:30 till 2:45 each day, Monday is our academic day. This includes construction related math for 45 minutes followed by either 45 minutes in the Shop or 45 minutes in the Media lab. Tuesday through Friday a 20 to 30 minute lecture is followed by time in the shop. The junior class is in the process of constructing a JR. house project. This project will cover many aspects of residential construction needed to complete everything from the concrete foundation, rough framing, roofing, siding and all of the interior finish.
The class has now constructed the footer and foundation walls using 2x6 lumber to make forms to hold approximately 800 lbs. of bag mix concrete. Some of the projects are ready for sill plates and floor frame members to include the box joist and the common floor joist.
