    10 Important Internship Requirements
     
    1.            Three school weeks or a total of 30 non-paid hours.
     

    2.            Must have good academics and attendance in your CTE program and are     recommended by your CTE teacher.

    3.            Show maturity and competence in skills and the ability to work both independently and with others.
    4.            Must follow proper safety rules and procedures.

    5.             Internship Agreement Form must be signed by, student, parent, business site, teacher, principal and work-based learning teacher before internship begins.

    6.           Must attend Harkness academic courses during internship.
     

    7.           Start early to secure an internship site, don’t wait to the last week, it sometimes takes weeks to secure.

    8.           Visit or make phone calls to the potential internship sites.  Use the cold call script with required information.

    9.          When an internship site is secured, set up an appointment to introduce yourself, and have the Internship Agreement signed by the site supervisor before internship beginning date.

    10.         Students must provide their own transportation to the site.
