Congratulations, you are about to embark on the final stage of your Work Based Learning experience here at Harkness. As part of your portfolio requirement, you will be expected to complete an Internship project. There are five stages to this project. A total of 25 points can be earned.

1. Successfully complete an internship. This success will be based on your attendance, attitude and performance during the intern process. (5 points)

2. Each day you will complete a daily log outlining the activities you’ve performed. This will be recorded on page eight of your “student packet”. Your supervisor will then initial in the space provided. (2.5 points)

3. On the final day of your internship (June 1) your supervisor will assess your performance using the rubric provide on page nine of the “Internship Packet”. (2.5 points)

4. At the end of each week you will complete questions 1 thru 5 on the Journal Reflection Worksheet attached. There is one sheet for each week. (5 points for all three weeks completed)

5. Towards the end of your internship, you will be expected to complete the “Internship Research for Presentation“ sheet in it’s entirety. Each student will read his/her report to the class on June 3,2009. (5 points)

6. An extra credit assignment is also offered. You will write a “Thank You” letter to the business that sponsored you. This letter will follow the outline provided. (5 points IF the final copy is presented to me. Harkness will pay for postage.)
