CULINARY SKILLS
Welcome to Culinary Skills! Congratulations on being part of a very exciting and unique program which will increase your chances for success in a rapidly changing industry.
CLASSROOM RULES AND GRADING PROCEDURES
RULES
• All rules in the Potter Rd. student
handbook will apply.
• Full uniform must be worn everyday
• in the kitchen. No Horseplay
• Respect Others
• Be on time for class
• Raise your hand before you speak
• Stay in your seat
• No profanity
• Be in your seat when class begins or
you are tardy.
• Only one student is permitted out of the
classroom/lab at a time (pass required)
• Report all accidents/injuries to the teacher
immediately
GRADE SCALE
A+ = 99-100 C+ =81-82
A = 94-98 C =76-80
A- = 92-93 C- =74-75
B+ = 90-91 D+ =72-73
B = 85-89 D =67-71
B- = 83-84 D- =65-66
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
• All program requirements
• minimum average of 75%
• Maximum of 28 days absent (2yrs)
GRADING
• Each day you will receive a grade based
on one of the following criteria:
Daily performance (2/3)
Tests, Homework, projects (1/3)
• 5 points will be deducted if you are tardy
• Zeros will be issued for unexcused absences.
• NO LATE WORK! all assignments are accepted
on/before the due date.
ABSENCES & TARDIES
Attendance is essential for success
• If you are absent you will need an excused
absence note signed by a parent/guardian
within 1 week of your absence.
• If you are tardy 5 points will be deducted
from your daily grade.
