The study of Early Childhood Education is designed for the student who desires to work with children and for anyone who is interested in basic human development and/or teaching.  It includes the study of newborns through middle childhood.

The physical, cognitive, social and emotional developments of each age group are investigated.  Students practice developmental theory and application as well as curriculum writing.  A variety of activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and young children are developed.

Students manage an on-site preschool class in their senior year and experience hands-on situations during internships.  A portfolio is created by all students.
